Lakeside Chalet is a four-bedroom house situated on the edge of Lake Sambell.
This house offers unique and superb views capturing a shimmering lake with ducks and abundant bird life just metres from the house.
Most of the main rooms including the front of the house have large windows, which take advantage of wonderful sights such as people boating, fishing and swimming.
Guests can dine al fresco and have a BBQ on the patio or at the adjoining reserve or at Sandy Beach nearby. (The Chalet and the Studio also have their own BBQ facilities)

Lakeside Studio is a two bedroom “vogue” style studio on the edge of Lake Sambell.
The boutique unit accommodates up to 4 people comfortably with one queen bed in one bedroom and one double in the other room.
The studio is situated on the same grounds as Lakeside Chalet and therefore it can be booked together with the Chalet for larger groups, or can be booked out separately for smaller groups.

Check in times from 2pm and checkout 10.30am unless prearranged with owner.
We have a minimum of two nights stay particularly on weekends.
there is a minimum of three nights.
We require all guests to fill out a booking form and quote a credit card number to secure a booking.
We cannot hold bookings open and give priority to those who put a deposit down first i.e. credit card number.
A deposit via the net into our account or a cheque within two days can be made in lieu of a credit card; however, a credit card is preferable.
We do not process cards until day of arrival and money, bank cheque or credit card can be paid on the day.
Where there is more than one group, we prefer one payment. Extra visitors will be charged if they stay overnights.
Please let the owner know if other visitors will be invited back.
- All cancellations will incur a $50 cancellation/administration fee.
- A cancellation within 7 days of a booking will result in your payment being forfeited in full
- A cancellation within 21 days of your booking will result in a charge of 50% to the value of the booking plus the administration fee amount being charged.
- A cancellation of your booking beyond 21 days will be refunded less our administration fee.
The unit is a smoke free house.
Please note that broken, lost and damaged items will be charged to guests and we expect that the unit is kept in clean order. Please return all keys and if keys or fittings are taken accidentally, we kindly ask that they be returned.
We ask all guests to use the chopping board and placemats provided and not to put any hot drinks, pots or utensils straight on tables or bench tops (ouch!!) We urge everyone to use a chopping board to cut up on rather than on bench tops and ask that the BBQ be cleaned after use.
Please do not place couch or chairs directly against walls as this limits scratches on the walls and please do not shut curtains and blinds by hand but rather use the cords and chains to open and close them.
Cords and chains are placed behind the heavy curtains and blinds.
Please do not be offended that we do not permit animals.
Please ensure that if you are bringing children, that they are supervised at all times as we are very close to the lake,
we ask that you shut the gates both back and front of the premises to ensure their safety.
Lake Sambell
Lake Sambell which is only a minute’s walk away, offers swimming, fishing, boating, walking tracks and great recreation.
It’s 8 minutes walk, or 2 minutes drive to the centre of town.
The beauty of this venue is its position, close to the Chinese Gardens and importantly, it is right on the start of The Rail Trail currently covering 98Kms of sealed bitumen.
This trail offers great biking or walking. The Studio is also walking distance to town and offers pleasant views such as old miner’s cottages on the way to town.
